Asteria performs music for voices and
lute
from late medieval Europe.
Since winning the Early Music America
Medieval/Renaissance competition in 2004 Eric Redlinger (lutenist and tenor)
and Sylvia Rhyne (soprano) have joined the ranks of the most highly regarded
performers of early music in both theUSA
andEurope. Recently returned from a year inFrance, where
they captivated audiences with their gently dramatized versions of 15th-century
French chansons, they bring this romantically charged repertoire to Promisek.
